If your desperate to lose weight , you'll look at every possible method out there. Crash and Fad diets often claim to help you lose tons of weight in a short amount of time-some even claim you can do it without the hard work ie exercising.Fad diets might help you lose a kg or two, but they certainly wont help you keep it off in the long run.

What is a fad diet?

Simple really they are advertised as a 'miracle' or 'revolutionary diet often endorsed by some 'z' list celeb you have never heard of.They often claim things like eat what you want when you want or never have to train again these of course are just nonsensical claims , as exercise and balanced meals are the ONLY ways to lose the love handles in a safe and long term manner.

If you really want to lose weight ,dont just give into the easy option fad, instead follow these basics of healthy eating .

>Have a variety of whole foods in your diet, vegetables , lean meats, dairy ect
>Practice portion control, now  a days our portions have gotten a lot bigger than they used to be, By keeping a eye on this we can drop a size or two quiet easily .
>Avoid Bad fats-such as fried food and fast food Products.
>Remove Temptation from your home including high calorie, high fat foods. If it is not in your house you cant eat it.
>Eat smaller meals more frequently to give your motabolism a kick.
>We all need to exercise approx 200mins per week, this can be a walk for those just starting , for others its about pushing yourself ,go for a run ,a swim, join a exercise class a fun and structured environment to ensure you get the most out of your time and efforts.

Are all supplements a bad idea?

To put it quiet simply no not all supplements are bad. There is a time and place for supplementation .If your doing your best to eat healthy foods but still are deficient i some areas, supplements can help. The key is to ensure they're taken in addition to to Healthy diet choices ans nutrient -dense foods. They are supplements , not replacemnts.
